The Goal

Rosamund Flint from Muswell Hill had the following requirements for her greenhouse in a London garden:

• The greenhouse must fit into her sloping garden terrace design
• It must complement the Edwardian property

The Solution

Griffin Glasshouses created the ideal structure for Rosamund, measuring only 2.1m x 1.5m.:

The greenhouse has striking, traditional Victorian style architectural features. This complements the garden and property style.

It’s the smallest bespoke greenhouse we ever installed. Still, the design allows for both growing of seedlings or vegetables and is a space to relax in.

 

In terms of gardening, this compact space serves multiple purposes for Rosamund’s family:

• Growing tomatoes and chilli plants are grown from seeds collected in Thailand.

• Potting up alliums from seed, which they can plant out and enjoy flowers in May or June.
